I don’t blame Conan O’Brien. He did really well on his old show and the flop of Jay Leno at 10 left the local affiliates’ 11:00 newscasts with low lead-in ratings and even lower lead-in ratings to Conan’s tonight show, that the fault really lies with NBC Executives, who will now have to pay a huge settlement to Conan and also watch him appear on another network before his contract is up. Seriously, who put the suits in charge? Leave it to us creatives. We know our public.
With NBC execs all groanin’
Over their fateful attempt at clonin’
Jay’s late-night success
Into prime-time excess,
Seems the only one unscathed is Conan.
A Different Drummer
Tuesday, April 20th, 2010Consider while visiting bars,
Perhaps over drinks and cigars,
That mother of eight,
Whom we know as Kate.
Of those dancing, are any true stars?
