Richard Shelby (R-AL) has put an extraordinary “blanket hold” on at least 70 nominations President Obama has sent to the Senate, according to multiple reports this evening. The hold means no nominations can move forward unless Senate Democrats can secure a 60-member cloture vote to break it, or until Shelby lifts the hold. Here’s what it looks like in limerick form:

I know, it’s pronounced “Bay-nur.” Not the way I read it. He probably had to constantly repeat “Bay-nur” over an over to stop being teased by the bullies in elementary school. Perhaps that’s why he always looks so sad.
Thank the Supreme Court for this new interest in corporate money. At least the bloodsuckers are being honest and over-the-table about it now.
Barack Obama visited a Republican House Member’s retreat and they allowed the cameras to roll on their Q&A session with the President. I’m sick on popcorn!
